Madeleine Louarn propose, à travers la rencontre des 5 interprètes de la troupe Catalyse et les 20 élèves de l’École du TNB, d’explorer « l’infatigable engagement d’aimer ».
Au plus proche de l’imaginaire et de l’inspiration des 25 interprètes, ils ont, pas à pas élaboré ensemble cette pièce. L’acte d’aimer est un évènement, un mouvement qui intensifie l’existence et qui engage tout l’être. Aimer n’est pas seulement une affaire de couple, c’est aussi le social et le politique qui influent sur notre intimité. Aimer c’est agir ensemble pour faire advenir quelque chose du futur. Par cette plongée dans la vie, il y a la volonté d’ouvrir un espace de lucidité critique pleine de joies, de risques, d’aventures.

In a collaboration between 5 performers from the Catalyse troupe and 20 students from the TNB Drama School, Madeleine Louarn invites us to explore ‘the tireless commitment to love’.
Working closely from their own imagi-nation and inspiration, the 25 performers have devised this piece together. The act of loving is an event in our lives, a transformation that intensifies existence and engages the whole of our beings. Loving is not just a matter for couples; the social and political spheres also influence our intimacy. To love is to act together to bring about something of the future. Diving into life, there is a desire to open space for a critical lucidity, full of joy, risk and adventure.

Depuis 2018, l’École du TNB invite la metteuse en scène et artiste associée Madeleine Louarn à mener des résidences de recherche et de création réunissant les interprètes de la troupe Catalyse et les jeunes acteurs et actrices tout au long des 3 années de leur formation. De ces collaborations sont nés Opérette en 2020 avec la promotion 10, Daedalus, la vie de quelqu’un en 2024 avec la promotion 11, puis Aimer Être Aimé avec la promotion 12.
Since 2018, the TNB School has invited director and associate artist Madeleine Louarn to lead research and creative residencies where performers from the Catalyse troupe come together with young performers over the 3 years of their training. These collaborations gave rise to Opérette in 2020 with the 10th graduating class, Daedalus, la vie de quelqu’un in 2024 with the 11th, and now Aimer Être Aimé with the 12th.
