The story of the killing of a young man who was set upon by four security guards for drinking a beer in a supermarket, Laurent Mauvignier’s text is delivered as a single uninterrupted sequence. Moving backwards from present to past, the events of the day are inexorably unwound. Staged in a bi-frontal format and performed by Arnaud Stephan, this is theatre that never moralises, drawing the audience instead into an emotive experience as it leads them on the path from life to death.
A graduate of the TNB Drama School and a native Breton, Arnaud Stephan is the founder of Compagnie Indiscipline. Trained in visual arts, he is inspired by influences ranging from Claude Régy to Romeo Castellucci.
