In the final part of his trilogy devoted to power, Vincent Collet brings to the stage four ‘non-experts’ who try to talk, in a balanced way, about justice. What does it mean to be fair? How do the values of a society and the principles of the individual influence our legal system and social rules?
Four characters question the notion of justice seen through the prism of place, culture, and personal relations. Dropped into the heart of a set that they manipulate like an unfolding map, they invite us to embark on a journey – one in which they reveal themselves, as much as help us to uncover our own connections, both individual and collective, and a possible future for our societies. After the show, the audience is invited to experience an immersive video installation, Le Grand Tour. Collecting six documentary films, it gives the floor to residents of Bretagne, Geneva, Brussels, Quebec, New Caledonia, and Athens to speak on the idea of justice.
BIOGRAPHY | Vincent Collet is an artist, traveller, author and performer based in Rennes. Since 2016, he has been investigating a question that particularly interests him: how to reconcile the individual and the collective? A founding member of the joli collectif, he became co-director of the Théâtre l’Aire Libre in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande in January 2023.
