LE PETIT CHAT EST MORT

VALÉRIE MRÉJEN

Creation at TNB (October 2025) · Available on tour 2026-2027

There's Pomme-frite the dog, the chickens Grisette, Blanchette, Roussette, and Jason the hamster. What they all have in common is that they have all passed through, more or less furtively, the lives of 3 friends who share their childhood memories on stage.

How can we say goodbye to them? The power of childhood is the power of imagination.  With a lot of humour and poetry, ceremonies are organised, processions and rituals in which we sing, dance, collect little pebbles or flowers to accompany the great departure. The 3 friends plunge us into a dreamlike world where the costumes and props, made from recycled natural and elements, transform the stage into a lively, colourful space. The loss of a ball of fur, feathers or scales is transformed into an adventure. A journey full of tenderness that invites us to look at the question of mourning from a child's point of view.
