À l’occasion des 30 ans de la mort de l’écrivaine Marguerite Duras, Marie-Noëlle propose une conférence enamourée et irrévérencieuse, un témoignage sur les dernières années de sa vie, elle qui s’est agglutinée à elle à l’adolescence – à l’âge où l’on détermine sa vie à jamais.
La fréquentation de celle qu’elle avait érigée en mère spirituelle a marqué sa vie comme une révélation. Anecdotes minutieusement classées, souvenirs déformés par le temps, admiration irrévérencieuse et humour désabusé composent cette traversée de la mémoire. Marie-Noëlle tente de se délester du « pendentif Duras », cette empreinte intime laissée par l’écrivaine. Un théâtre traversé par la question du temps perdu, de la transmission et des fictions que l’on invente pour se construire.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the death of writer Marguerite Duras, Marie-Noëlle presents an amorous and irreverent lecture-performance, a personal account of the final years of Duras’s life.
As a teenager–at that formative age when one’s path in life seems to be set forever – Marie-Noëlle became deeply attached to the writer. Spending time with the woman she had elevated to the status of a spiritual mother proved a revelation and left a lasting mark on her life. Carefully catalogued anecdotes, memories distorted by time, irreverent admiration and wry humour shape this journey through memory. Marie-Noëlle attempts to free herself from the ‘Duras pendant’, the intimate imprint left by the writer. A theatrical work haunted by questions of lost time, transmission and the fictions we invent in order to construct ourselves.

Après avoir travaillé avec Claude Régy et François Tanguy, Marie-Noëlle développe un travail singulier à la croisée du théâtre, de la danse et de la performance. Depuis En attendant Genod créé en 2003 grâce à une commande de Loïc Touzé, elle construit des formes libres et autobiographiques présentées dans de nombreux festivals. Elle clôt sa carrière il y a 4 ans par un stand-up d’adieux Titanic, hélas... et ajoute ici une coda à son exploration de la mémoire et du récit intime. Elle intervient également à l’École du TNB où elle a monté J’ai menti, d’après Tchekhov, avec la promotion 10 en 2023.
Having worked with Claude Régy and François Tanguy, Marie-Noëlle has developed a singular practice at the crossroads of theatre, dance and performance. Since En attendant Genod, created in 2003 following a commission from Loïc Touzé, she has devised free-form autobiographical works presented at numerous festivals. 4 years ago, she brought her career to a close with the farewell stand-up performance Titanic, hélas... Here, she adds a coda to her exploration of memory and intimate storytelling. She also teaches at the TNB Drama School, where in 2023 she directed J’ai menti, after Chekhov, with the School’s 10th graduating class.
