Aux frontières du spectacle de danse et des arts visuels, Deep Are The Woods immerge le public au cœur d’un dispositif où la lumière est la seule interprète. Une expérience ludique et poétique.
Inspiré par le souvenir des promenades en forêt où le soleil transperce la canopée en rais de lumière que l’on pourrait presque toucher, Éric Arnal-Burtschy a imaginé un espace où renouveler notre perception du monde. Comme s’il était propulsé dans la nuit infinie de l’espace, seulement éclairée par les étoiles, le public est immergé dans le noir le plus profond. Bientôt, la lumière l’enveloppe et le caresse, son mouvement donne corps au vide. Rendue tangible par un fin brouillard, elle habite un espace où l’on peut déambuler librement, sollicitant à la fois l’imaginaire et la perception sensorielle.
ENGLISH VERSION
On the borderline between dance and visual arts, Deep Are The Woods immerses the audience in a playful, poetic experience where light is the only performer.
Inspired by memories of walks in forests where the sun pierces the canopy in rays of light one can almost touch, Éric Arnal-Burtschy has imagined a space in which we can renew our perception of the world. As if propelled into the infinite night of space, the audience is immersed in the deepest darkness, lit only by the stars. Soon light envelops and caresses them, its movement giving substance to the void. Rendered tangible by a fine mist, it flows through a space in which you can wander freely, guided by imagination and the senses.

Le travail d'Éric Arnal-Burtschy est porté par des recherches sur la physique de l’Univers et un questionnement sur l’humain. Il crée notamment Bouncing Universe in a Bulk (2013), un diptyque qui questionne la notion d'infini, et Ciguë (2014) sur notre rapport à la liberté et à la solitude.
