Crash Park, Life of an Island, presents a group of survivors after a plane crash. The island sustains numerous myths, symbols and fantasies, from Ulysses to Robinson Crusoe and Jules Verne. It provides Philippe Quesne with an ideal confined space that he explores in the manner of an entomological study where humans move about as if under a microscope. His creative work attains a poetical hyperrealism with extraordinarily imaginative performances where the text is one element of composition among many. His creations are imagined like landscapes, sanctuaries, and even amusement parks.
