As part of France-Israel Season
The Israeli choreographer Yasmeen Godder is an artist whose stage presence never leaves the spectator indifferent. Over the course of her noteworthy international career, this troublemaker of the new Israeli dance scene has developed many
compelling shows, pushing the limits of the body and forms with her intelligence and derision. With Demonstrate Restraint Yasmeen Godder returns to the stage with the musician, composer and singer, Tomer Damsky, who has worked with her on numerous projects. Together they embody, represent and deconstruct images, words, sounds and symbols evocative of the Israeli political context. The two performers plunge into their artistic endeavor in the guise of a political engagement, which is at times restrained, at others explosive, halfway between the desireto protest and the need to remain silent.
