Created in 1995, Múa is the first of a pair of works completed in 2021 with Nuée. In this original opus, the choreographer and dancer Emmanuelle Huynh sets out on a quest for herself by returning to her country of origin – Vietnam, a place that is still the foundation of who she is. Playing with the grey areas between darkness and light, silence and music, dance and stillness, Huynh appears and disappears within them, bringing to the stage an act of creation that has the air of a rebirth.
Huynh was resident at Triangle in Rennes during 2015 with the musician Erwan Keravec, and since 2016 has been head of dance, choreography and performance at Beaux-Arts de Paris.
