Barbara, Jessica and Pauline meet every Thursday in a gym in a new town in Seine-et-Marne to rehearse an Abba song : SOS, and try to win the best look-alike contest.
To reach their goal, they train with passion and a slightly naive enthusiasm, until the day Pauline is taken by the « imperious necessity » to write her own songs to become a « real » artist. A clash of 2 worlds against a backdrop of ultrafabricated suburbs: fake entertainment versus mass consumption. Tiphaine Raffier delivers a tender and cruel fable. She unfolds a baroque universe that moves us as much as it amuses us.
The writer, actor and director Tiphaine Raffier trained at the École du Nord in Lille. Formerly a performer with Julien Gosselin, she now creates her own performances. La Chanson [reboot] is a restaging of her very first show from 2012, La Chanson.
