Is their desire their own, or is it shaped by silent influences? How to liberate oneself from the constraints surreptitiously imposed by a predominantly white society? The women on stage are singers, actors, dancers and circus artists. They speak their truth as they carry their bodies – with pride and freedom. Rébecca Chaillon is an essential voice in the postcolonial struggle. She founded Compagnie Dans Le Ventre and is part of the collective RER Q.
