The second part of a diptych about buried memories, this purely fictional love story heals the wounds of exile and Franco-Algerian history.
Joséphine Serre based this piece on three words and a signature left on a business card kept carefully in the wallet of Amer M. The card belonged to Colette B. (the rest of her name is crossed out), a pianist at Radio France. Armed with this tiny clue, the director sets out to find Colette in the streets of Paris. Her wanderings lead her to reconstruct a possible history: a musician who left Oran for Paris in 1962, Colette met Amer M., a Kabyle worker exiled in France, and forged a deep bond of affection with him. Two people caught in the crossfire of the Algerian war, taking care of each other as they await the day when reconciliation, of every kind, will be possible again.
