I went to Japan in 2000 as a musician when I accompanied Salif Keita on keyboards, then in 2002 to experience my first concerts as a singer with Mathieu Boogaerts - I played the first parts. This country shook me up so much that I did not handle well coming back to France.
So I signed up for Japanese classes and I worked hard to reach the language level of a 2-year child, then I quit as I lacked opportunities to speak it.
