TRANSMISSION PROGRAM AT FESTIVAL TNB 2022 #YOUNGPROS

15 – 19 NOV 2022

The 1st edition of the TRANSMISSION program was set up by the TNB Drama School as part of the TNB Festival 2022 : a genuine opportunity for training and exchange aimed at young artists, both French and foreign, at the start of their professional careers or still studying. This event further strengthens the Festival's ambitions of opening up to as many people as possible and anchoring the School in lifelong learning.

During the first week of the TNB Festival 2022, 3 workshops were offered to 30 young actors, selected following an individual call for applications:
— Arthur Nauzyciel, actor, director and director of the TNB, to work on 2 texts: Splendid's by Jean Genet and Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare;
— Guy Cassiers, director of the Toneelhuis in Belgium, working on the documentary Urgences directed by Raymond Depardon;
— Théo Mercier, director, visual artist and associate artist at the TNB, and Steven Michel, dancer and choreographer, who worked with the 4 dancers from Big Sisters, a show created by Théo Mercier and Steven Michel in 2020.

Taking advantage of a total immersive experience at the heart of the festival, the participants attended 5 shows in the programme. The week was also marked by a number of meetings: an inaugural masterclass in which Arthur Nauzyciel and Guy Cassiers explored the notion of transmission in their careers and their relationship with art, and a special discussion with 3 artistic teams from the proposed programme of shows (Mohamed El Khatib, Tiphaine Raffier, Ludovic Lagarde and actress Christèle Tual).
