For me, it was when I found the ferret. I was really sad because I loved him very much... he was getting into all sorts of trouble in the house, tearing up the curtains...

My parents took some moss from the tree to make a nest... We knew it wasn't going to work too well, but the next day we went to see... and it had fallen back down. We took two twigs to make a cross and I sang the Marseillaise in "cui-cui".

I put it in a milk carton, I put it in a hole, I reburied it, I put cherries on it and then I sang a song in Spanish. Because I'm Spanish.

Three characters of different ages tell stories of pets that have disappeared, describing the rituals involved in burying them. Sequences filmed with children alternate with these acted scenes: shot on location, they are projected onto a wall-screen on wheels. A dialogue is established between the documentary shots and the actors, who seem to adopt the filmed stories as their own, some of them romanticized by the children's imaginations.

While the stories, initially very precise and concrete, take a few liberties with verisimilitude, the three friends, decked out in flowery accesories made from the packaging and plants mentioned at the start (recycled containers, petals, twigs), encounter the adventures that follow, unexpected, comical and funny discoveries and encounters in biotopes new to them. A whimsical ping-pong narrative about the disappearance of pets, about death and the ability of children to endlessly invent stories about parallel worlds.
