BRUNO GESLIN

DIRECTOR

The director Bruno Geslin refuses to accept the smooth, the conventional, anything that is clean-cut. Fascinated by strong figures, whether he is prowling around the German author Rainer Werner Fassbinder, the erotomaniac Pierre Molinier or the English director and screenwriter Derek Jarman, he gives us the chance to see and hear demanding personalities. At the TNB, he presented Mes jambes, si vous saviez, quelle fumée... in 2003 and Je porte malheur aux femmes, mais je ne porte pas bonheur aux chiens in 2006.

Bruno Geslin likes sulphurous thoughts. A true poet of the stage, which he knows how to transform into a bewitching and hypnotic space, he sows confusion in perceptions. And takes the audience far beyond rationality. During the season 2021-2022, Chroma, inspired by Derek Jarman's story, and the film-concert The Angelic Conversation form a diptych that literally awakens the senses.
